Art Education

'Art is essential for strong souls.'

At Firat Ilhan Schools we highly value the education of literature, cinema, music, dance and drama. We know that developed civilizations exist with a wide-range of arts, and that this can only be achieved through individuals with a good understanding of art. With this mentality we value aesthetic at all aspects of our school. We teach our students; what art is, how it is done and its contribution to society both theoretically and practically.

In literature classes we have our students read both Turkish and world classics and push them to write. We aim to develop the observation skills of students who get used to reading and writing.

In theatre classes we perform plays. This way our students develop drama and speaking skills and gain the confidence to speak in crowds.

In cinema classes we teach; what cinema is, the cinema industry, how cinema helps countries tourism and famous actors and directors. In our cinema club we organize both theatre and open-air film screenings to make our classes more fun.

In our music theory classes, we teach; music history, Turkish and world music, biographies of well-known musicians and instruments. In our practical music lessons, we teach reading musical notes, singing, solfeggio and instruments. With the belief that those who know world music and cuisine are peaceful, we keep music classes on a mandatory status.
